    For the 6th installment of our 45 series, we decided to take things back to 2019 and celebrate one of the more recent songs in the catalog. "

    Whiskey and Push-Ups", featuring Open Mike Eagle and BoatHouse, was recorded in January of 2019 and appeared on the LP, Our Latest Compilation....

    It was incredibly fucking cold and we spent the day in the studio making music, cracking jokes, eating pizza and drinking whiskey.

    We talked about Open Mike's approach to music, his memories of coming up with the Nacrobats crew, "The Nutty Professor" movies, and at the time, his forthcoming TV show on Comedy Central. This was a really fun day, and excellent method to beat the cold. One thing that always stuck with me, was the way Mike talked about participating in a Closed Sessions and how it made him feel like he was a young and hungry emcee again, coming up in the Chicago scene. That's part of the goal.

    We're excited to release this one on 7" / 45RPM vinyl. This record is limited to 400 copies, and is available/shipping now via Closed Sessions and Fat Beats.

    The 7" contains the original and instrumental versions, plus new artwork by Spectacular Diagnostics.
